Ian Anderson Rubbing Elbows Update

Here we see the legendary Kemper Crabb and the honorable Gregg Wiltshire before the show.

My lovely wife Kim, and my good friend Thadd Grimm.

Some Jackity Johnny.

We had a wonderful time. The Ian Anderson concert was great. He was in acoustic mode and played really well.
I really like his new solo record "Rupi's Dance" and he played a bunch off it, as well as a good number of
Old Jethro Tull songs. Between songs he would go over and sit at a couch with a couple of Houston DJs
(Who were booed when they first came up ... Not really cool of the audience.) Rog and Dean. ian was very funny and
Took questions from the audience and bantered with the DJs. I enjoyed this form of concert. I sat with Kim, Kemper, Johnny, Thadd
and Gregg for the first half of the concert.

After the intermission I went backstage and waited to be called up. They had me join the banter on the couch, then we
Played the song "Love is Only Love." This is the Song that Ian chose from the five I sent him. We had ran over the song about four times
during soundcheck , and the band did much better during the show than they had during soundcheck.

Here is a sample from my digital camera.

After I played I am told that I received a really enthusiastic standing ovation.
Thanks for the support.
